Vocal Production Coaching

Producing a proper studio vocal is a must these days if you are going to compete with the best. A professional vocal coach should just be part of your budget. This is NOT vocal training, we figure you already have had that..or so we hope. This is for the serious singer that knows it is much different to sing at a club or in the shower than it is to sing on a microphone in a studio. It is hard work and you need to have all the tools available to you.

Studio cost is expensive, pressing a record is expensive producers are expensive. Most acts spend more time in the studio recording the guitar solo than they do working on their vocals…and it sounds like it. Even some of the best and most well known producers hire vocal production coaches to be able to speak the language to their artist saving time in the studio and grief for both parties. Acts such as Back Street Boys, Justin Timberlake, Britany Spears, and Christine Aguilara all have experienced the power of the proper vocal coach.

Steven McClintock has the vocal coaching experience to help you reach your desired goal. Even to the point of picking the right microphone for your voice. He has coached hundreds of vocalist throughout his career both male and female and can help you.

Working for MCA and George Tobin he was responsible for two Tiffany albums that sold more than 6 million albums in the US alone. He also worked with Juice Newton (Capitol), Rose Maddox, Paul Jefferson (Almo Sound), PC Quest (RCA), The Nelsons ( Stone Canyon), Taja Seville and many others in all genres of music. He also had the privilege to work with producers Victoria Shaw (Garth Brooks) and David Pack(Ambrosia) for the Cystic Fibrosis project called One Heart at A Time(Warner Brothers). On the famous session Steven worked with Faith Hill, Michael McDonald, Garth Brooks, Neal McCoy, Olivia Newton John, Brian White, and Billy Dean.

Along with the vocal expertise and skills to help you take your project to the next level, Steven is masterful at vocal editing and vocal comping. Just like in the film world, a great vocal editor is worth their weight in gold, saving you time and money.
