gigs-events... sept 2002 Steven just completed a very busy 10 days! The trip to Washington DC was amazing! Along with Gunnar and Matthew Nelson, Steven got to perform two songs including his original song JUST ONCE MORE. He also had the opportunity to visit with many families from the September 11th tragedy and listen to how they were feeling about it all. Very cathartic for Steven and the families. To top it off, just before midnight on September 10th, after an incredible dinner thrown for the entertainers, Gun, Matt, Yvette and Steven were taking a walk and stopped at the South lawn of the White House. They stood in amazement as the President was standing on top of the White House lowering the United States flag to half mast. At that very same moment, all of the other government buildings were doing the exact same thing…right on his cue….they were the only ones to see it…very cool.
On September 21st , Steven hosted SongCatalog’s first Songwriter event in association with NSAI/BCSSA in Vancouver BC Canada. John Braheny came up from LA to speak to 40 writers followed by a Songwriter In The Round. The round featured some of Canada’s top pop and country writer and SongCatalog members: Dave Pickel, Ron Irving, Tom and Linda McKillip, John Reischman, Trisha Gagnon and Cathy-Anne Whitworth and of course Steven. The local paper and radio were there loving every minute of it.
For all of you in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas…keep on the look out for a new radio jingle that Steven wrote, sang and produced called “We Say Yes”…it is only a minute long so it might be hard to catch...you will NOT stop singing it once you hear it.
Great news regarding the ROADWISE CD….it was picked up in Europe by Corazong Records www.corazong.com AND also in Canada on EMI Records. That’s right EMI Records…this should really boost the exposure for the CD.
A fabulous country singer named Richard Schneider has decided to release LOVED BY YOU as his first single in Europe on November 5. Steven wrote this with Victoria Shaw and produced Victoria singing the duet with Richard…we will info on where you can pick this up.
Steven is speaking at SongsAlive EXPO on September 28th at UCLA for the songwriting panel. Tickets are still available at www.songsalive.com On the 29th, Steven will be critiquing for the same event in the day and judging a talent contest for ACOUSTIC LIVE that evening. www.acousticlive.net

Phil Vassar's Club Paradise Tour will include Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Sixwire...this should be just what the band needs to get to the people…Sixwire CD IS out and available…pick it up. 5.26.2002 I am speaking at the conference EAT'M in Las Vegas running from May 28th through May 31st. My panel is Marketing and Promoting your Music on the Internet. I am also mentoring two songwriting sessions while there with John Braheny. I was invited as the CCO and Founder of SongCatalog,Inc. The song "LOOK AT ME NOW" just broke the top 40 this week! # 39 with a BULLET! On June 9th I head to Nashville for Fan Fair. Performing at the Bluebird with Victoria Shaw on the 15th. SIXWIRE is having a record release party and playing my single for all of Warner Brothers and the fans. I am also writing with Michael Garvin, Victoria Shaw, Greg Barnhill, and Rick Chudacoff...should be a fun and creative week! The CD "Roadwise" was just signed to CORAZONG Records in The Netherlands by owner Evert Wilbrink formerly from BMG Records. The deal is for the world excluding the US. Other artist on this label include Willie Nelson, Freebo, and Lisa Haley. The signing includes the release of a all new second CD in 2003. The date and name of CD TBA. The song "Look At Me Now" by SIXWIRE on Warner Brothers
Records, has entered the country charts at #50! The video is being
cut now and they are expecting a hit. Listen for the song and call the
country stations and request it! 3.13.2002 Steven performs at NSAI's Tin Pan South Show in Nashville TN on April 5th at 7pm at a place called 12th & Porter with Victoria Shaw and The Nelsons. Please come out and see the show! 9.20.2001 Balmur Corus Entertainment out of Nashville has asked Steven to write for the new childrens's project called "Hippo Drain Company". Two songs were written with Pamala Oland Phillips called "Pipeline" and "Sink-ro-nize". To be released in the mid fall. Steven performed on August 24th with the Nelson's at the PNE in Vancouver British Columbia singing "Just Once More", the Nelson/McClintock/Shaw collaboration, and "Lough Graney" the Irish acapella ballad off of the CD Roadwise. Canadian Singer Mark Vance and producer Robbie Banner have taken an existing song originally written by Steven and Cathy Anne Whitworth and added to it, changed the title and will debut on Mark's new CD in January. The song is called "Forever". Mark has already cut 4 songs written my Steven. "My Turn To Cry" off the CD 'Roadwise' will be a new single to be released in Europe in mid September on Hot Country Disc. Steven's last release "Knock, Knock" went number one in Europe Indie Country Charts. Boy Band X'Centric from Dallas Texas, currently opening for Destiny's Child, have cut an acapella version of Steven's song "I Couldn't Care Less" for an October airing date on VH1. This song was previously recorded by All For One. Steven's co-write with the Nelsons called "She's Way Too Cute For Him" will be used in an upcoming movie of the week called "A Little Inside". Steven is booked for a performance at THE 12 BAR CLUB in London England on October 26, 2001 at 10:00pm. Please send all of your limey friends to see him. He will also be writing while in London and speaking on music copyrights in regards to the Internet in Holland on October 19th the week before. Country song "Blinded By Love" as recorded by Paul Jefferson and written by Steven, Paul and David Vincent, has been re licensed for a CBS Movie called "Woman On The Run". 8.28.2001
