March/April 2006

Steven here…March 10th at 10:42pm we FINALLY finished the recording of the new Fertitta and McClintock CD tentatively titled ALL THIS TIME…but that TITLE could change.

We are currently mixing in Nashville with the guys we talked about last week…Kyle Lehning.  Good stuff happening.  There are two new ways to look at Fertitta and McClintock and what we are doing.  You can even download some of the songs off the project in advance.  Go to www.indie911.com and in the search area put in Fertitta and McClintock…that will go right to us.  Also for performance dates and more info, go to www.myspace.com/fertittaandmcclintock

Recently Fertitta and McClintock performed for the LAMN (Los Angeles Music Network) www.lamn.com  and won the first place for the evening allowing us to play again at a bigger function in May…music supervisors, label execs etc.   We also got in the finalist for OCMA (Orange County Music Association) www.ocma.com as the BEST LIVE ACOUSTIC ACT for 2006!   We perform a play off on March 18th in Santa Ana at the Gypsy Den at 3pm…if you are local and around…pop on by..we get about 15 minutes…but audience response is VERY important.

On March 30th, Fertitta and McClintock head off to Nashville for TIN PAN SOUTH www.tinpansouth.com where we will be playing at 3rd and Lindsley at 7pm on March 31st, Friday with Larry Weiss www.larryweiss.com, and David Pomeranz www.davidpomeranz.com for two hours.  It is a GREAT night, very musical and loads of fun.  That week we also write with David Pomeranz…what a treat that is going to be.

AND to top the week off…the ANNUAL Guitar B Q will be happening at the McJames House where Doak Turner and The NASHVILLE MUSE is putting on the show for all of the songwriters visiting Nashville on TIN PAN week.  To RSVP and directions go to www.nashvillemuse.com

BE SURE (no pun intended...really) and order your CDS for Fertitta and McClintock early and order LOTS OF THEM!!  We want to make a huge debut with this product and with your help…we will.

Shiny Toy Guns is really doing well these days…touring…recording…eating and drinking with labels…the ONE thing that labels are REALLY good at….entertaining the bands!  The first CD We Are Pilots and the new V2.0 versions are BOTH up on www.indie911.com/shiny-toy-guns  for downloads.  If you are curious, go listen and buy a few songs….some great stuff.  The myspace site has received almost 1,000,000 listens to their material and almost 500,000 profile reviews!  Amazing!!  You can also see their new live video of “YOU ARE THE ONE” from the link available on www.37records.com  click on music and then Shiny Toy Guns.

Cris Barber is on the move too with her 3rd CD COMES LOVE.   37 Records just got it picked up in three countries overseas and has another couple in negotiations for the product.  Cris Barber is the FIRST 37 Records act to go on ITUNES and will be featured in the Indie Jazz section of the site in the next month.  PLUS Jazz Review just did a great review on her new CD.  All of this can be seen at www.37records.com  click on music and Cris Barber.  But that’s not all…Cris has been picked to play the famous Hollywood Bowl in an upcoming and unnamed time slot…we will keep you informed.

Lastly, I want you all to go to www.burnlounge.com/37records  scroll to the bottom of the page and play the commercial.   This is a great little site for making YOU your own record store.  Sign up from my 37 Records Burnlounge page and I get credit for you.  If you have any questions, email me at info37records@aol.com   You can sell ANY RECORD that is available on the site to all of your friends and family…any one that is buying downloads.  I have Metallica, James Blunt, Tiffany, Shiny Toy Guns, Weezer, Steven McClintock and more on my home page.  Of course you can chose from thousands of CDs.  Check it out!!

Thanks and don’t forget to go back and review all of the archived material (link below) if there is something you forgot or need to know.  Garm Beall from Webspace Designs keeps it all up for your convenience.
